What a great idea… I feel like i would have to buy all new pretty spice bottles though 🙂 I love your "Story of Us" The Lord is so great and creative… there is no ONE right way in finding/waiting for your husband… I waited for my sweet husband until i was 28 (met him) and we were engaged 2 months later, and married 3 months after that… 🙂 Have a great Wednesday!

I absolutely love your spice rack! My grandparents use to have tons of old things like the coke crate and all sorts of crazy stuff in their warehouse. Anyways, I love your creativity.
I'm here following you back on your blog. Thanks for following me doll 🙂
I know, I lucked out having the perfect sized matching spices to begin with! And yes – I love hearing couples' love stories… it is truly amazing how God chooses to bring people together in His timing 🙂
I LOVE this idea! I have a couple old crates (a few Pepsi – my hubby's fav) that have been waiting for a good purpose. I'm sold – this is how I will use them – and I have been going crazy with my messy spice storage. So excited that I might even get to it today! 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration – I pinned to my Organization board on Pinterest. { http://pinterest.com/belljarvintage/organization-inspiration/ }
They are just the Archer Farms brand you find at Target! I started buying them because I liked how much spice you got for the price, not to mention the cool glass jars 🙂
Hey Denise! So glad you like this 🙂 I don't think I've received any emails from you though? Maybe gmail filtered it?? 🙁 The coke box I found on Facebook for our community's online garage sale… and the spice jars are Target Brand {either Market Pantry or Archer Farms – I can never keep them straight!} Does that help?

Could you tell me how deep the holes are in the crate? I just want have an idea how far out my jar will stick. If that makes sense! Thank you so much!
I'd say it's about 2.5" deep – and as you can tell my jars stick out a bit and I haven't had any issues so far!

Found a crate today at a local antique store. Mine is red & white. Wasn't sure where to put it so it is on the counter by the stove. But it looks really good there.

I love this! Now I need to find a crate!!!

Where did you get the jars? I can't find any that fit as nicely as your do!
Thanks Nicole 🙂 All my comments got messed up when we switched to WordPress!

Wow those are very hard to find now…. need to look for a red one as well. I used them to hold matchbox cars for my boys and tiny ornaments and treasures for myself.. now that was 30 years ago nowadays I'd just love to have one – fantastic idea for the spices

Just bought my crate! Going to make this for my pantry! Great idea! Thanks

Thanks for this idea. You inspired me!! I just finished mine this weekend. I LOVE IT!! Here's a picture of mine. I paid $11.60 for my 1960's crate. The baby food jars were free. I spray painted the lids bright red since that's my kitchen color.
