I’ve been attempting to follow Bill Phillips’s Body for Life program lately. If you’ve never heard of Body for Life, you should check it out sometime (links below). Of all the various workout routines I’ve researched and/or tried before, this has stood out as the one that I have been able to remain the most faithful to. But while I’ve been able to stay consistent with the workout portion of the plan, I haven’t always tried very hard to stick with the eating plan…until now. And truly it’s not that difficult, just pair a portion of protein with a portion of complex carbs, avoiding fatty foods for a total of 6 times a day and you’re good to go. I also like the fact that it incorporates a “free” day, allowing you to eat whatever and however much you want! So here is one of the recipes from the Body-for-Life website that makes a great tasting and healthy breakfast meal. I made about 5 of these so I can easily grab one on my way to work and have it for my mid-morning meal.

DISCLAIMER: Even though the majority of the recipes on this site are gluten free, these wraps are NOT gluten free. Though I’m sure they could be adapted with a simple change from flour tortillas to GF tortillas.
Directions:
Cook the sausage in a skillet and the egg whites in a separate skillet.
Lay the tortillas out and fill all equally with the cooked egg whites first, then add the sausage on top of the egg whites. Finally, top with a little cheese.
Wrap ’em up! I had to use toothpicks to keep mine rolled up. After that, I just threw them in a freezer bag and into the freezer. These are especially great for when I’m in a hurry in the morning. I no longer have an excuse to skip a meal or eat junk food instead!
